Through lecture and lab experience, students will be exposed to and will demonstrate an understanding of the factors that determine the speed and extent of chemical reactions - kinetics, equilibria, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry.

Note: For successful completion of this online chemistry course, it is recommended that students are familiar with General Chemistry I or its equivalent.

This course requires the purchase of a state-of-the art lab kit through Doane University's lab equipment partner. The lab purchase will be completed through Canvas in the introductory module. The lab kit will provide the student an equivalent and accessible lab experience off-campus with both virtual and hands-on labs. To successfully complete the lab portion of the course, a lab kit is required.
